Support and FAQs
lobbyTV is a cloud-based digital signage solution that allows you to transform any television into a highly-effective promotional tool. The simple drag-and-drop platform allows you to upload PDFs, images, videos, PowerPoint and Google Slides into a centralized content management system, where you can then display customized messaging to customers who are waiting to receive your services.
No. lobbyTV supports both vertical and horizontal screens.
Yes! We have included over 5,000 radio stations to seamlessly play behind your slide show. Listed on the top tool bar, there is a “Radio” tab. Once you click on that, you will be directed to genres of music where you can choose your favorite station. Once chosen, you will click the orange check mark to add to presentation.
You will click the “Preview” button on the top tool bar. Your finished product will be presented to you just like it will appear on the screen. After previewing, click “Publish” at the top right corner and the presentation will be ready for viewing.
Adding additional users is simple. In the “Users” section, click on “Invite User” at the top right corner. Then, enter the user’s email address you wish to add.
The user will then receive an invitation through their email. Once the user accepts the invitation, (s)he will click on the link provided and set up their password.
The added user will initially have permission to edit content and add/remove devices. In order to grant them permission in areas such as modifying billing information, adding new subscriptions, etc., the original user must return back to the “Users” section to update the added user to an “Administrator.”
Regardless of its physical size, TV hardware manufacturers reserve space around the displayable area of the screen. This reserved space is known as overscan. The amount of space a TV uses as overscan varies across manufacturers. Make sure you design your content in a way that no text is placed in this area.
Although Android and Amazon Fire TV platforms provides a way for the user to adjust for television overscan in the settings, we recommend that you avoid placing important content within the outer 5% of any edge on the screen. All of your messages should be fully within the inner 90% (the safe zone) of the images.

Yes. Because it is cloud-based, you can access our application from any web browser, at any location and time.
We recommend designing your content to 1920x1080px.
Because television screens must be read from across the room, use larger type sizes for body text (at least 14pt, which is approximately 19px on 720p and 28px on 1080p).
Keep item descriptions or other blocks of text as short as possible, both in content and in line width. Use greater line spacing than you would use on a desktop or tablet screen. Separate text into paragraphs or chunks and write in short, declarative sentences.
Television screens have a higher contrast than computer screens. This makes colors seem brighter and more vibrant. When creating content specifically for your TV, use less saturated colors. Stick to cool colors like blue, purple and gray rather than warm colors like red and orange.
