Setup Part 2 – Turn on Kiosk Mode – ChromeOS

  1. After wipe is completed, you will be at the welcome screen. (Input your network information, but DO NOT LOGIN to the Chromebook).
  2. At the login screen, press CTRL + ALT + K and enable Kiosk mode.
  3. Now login into the Chromebook.
  4. Install the lobbyTV chrome App from the Chrome Web Store
  5. Open Chrome and enter chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy in the address bar hit enter.
  6. Changing the “Autoplay policy” from “Default” to “No user gesture is required“.
  7. Click “relaunch“.
  8. Open Chrome and enter chrome://extensions in the address bar hit enter.
  9. Check the box next to Developer Mode to enable Developer Mode.
  10. Click Add kiosk application and enter the ID of the Kiosk App you’d like to enable. The lobbyTV ID can be copied from the extensions page:
  11. Highlight the Kiosk App and select “auto launch”.
  12. Press Enter or click Done.
  13. Restart the device and when asked, enable app for Kiosk mode.
  14. Now the app will auto launch each time you reboot.
  15. To Turn off Kiosk Mode, begin by rebooting the Chromebook. While the device is starting up, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+S to interrupt
